2026 Wait List Update #2

We are pleased to share that Emory University has successfully completed the first round of waitlist activity, and we are grateful for the thoughtful and timely responses from students and families. As a result, we have made significant progress in shaping the final stages of the enrolling class.

Emory College (Atlanta)

As of May 21, 2026, the enrolling class at Emory College remains nicely above our enrollment target, as planned, and we are pleased to report that the first round of wait list activity has come in on target. Overall, the university remains in a strong enrollment position as we continue to watch the final incoming class.

At this stage, Emory College continues to monitor enrollment activity closely, including summer melt, student decision-making, and gap year requests. Please note that the university’s deadline for incoming students to request a gap year is June 1, and we will continue to assess enrollment needs following that deadline. In addition, a small number of students admitted from the wait list are currently working with the Office of Financial Aid regarding their financial aid packages. Emory University does offer need-based financial aid to students admitted from the wait list and remains committed to meeting demonstrated financial need for admitted students, including those eligible for Emory Advantage Plus.

While we anticipate that any additional wait list activity will remain very limited, and most likely less than 20. Students who remain on the wait list should continue to monitor their email regularly, as all communication regarding wait list activity will be sent directly via email. We also encourage students to ensure that their contact information remains accurate and current in their applicant portal.

Oxford College: On-Campus Start

Oxford College continues to track above its enrollment target, and we are pleased to share that the first wave of wait list activity has also come in on target. At this time, Oxford College remains in a strong enrollment position while continuing to monitor enrollment activity in the coming weeks. Additional wait list offers, if needed, would be made on a limited and case-by-case basis as space becomes available. Students offered admission from the wait list will continue to be contacted directly via email, and we encourage students to monitor their inboxes regularly.

Oxford Launch: London

Oxford Launch: London continues to generate strong interest, and additional offers of admission were extended this past week as the university works to finalize the cohort. At this time, fewer than five spaces remain available within the London cohort. As enrollment activity continues to evolve, the university may make a very limited number of additional offers. Students who wish to remain under consideration should continue monitoring their email closely and ensure that their contact information is accurate and up to date.

General Waitlist Information

Emory University intends to hold on to the waitlist at least through the month of June, which is consistent with previous admission cycles. This allows us to monitor the composition of the entering class and respond to any fluctuations that may occur. Notably, June 1, 2026, is the deadline for gap year requests from enrolling students, and maintaining an active waitlist ensures we are prepared to accommodate any resulting changes.

As always, waitlist activity remains case-by-case and based on space availability. We encourage students to continue checking their email regularly and to ensure their contact information is accurate. Should a student receive an offer, a prompt response will facilitate timely decision-making for all involved.

Thank you again for your continued interest in Emory University.
