We would like to provide a comprehensive update on the waitlist activity for Emory College and Oxford College of Emory University. 

Emory College 

As of May 7, 2025, we are pleased to report that the enrolling class at Emory College has come very close to being filled. However, we are also aware that changes in plans can occur for deposited students in the coming weeks. This includes gap year requests and other reasons why a small number of students may not end up enrolling in late August 2025. Therefore, we are anticipating enrolling approximately 95 students from the waitlist in the month of May.  Emory College anticipates reaching out to a select number of students no later than May 12th. 

The waitlist process at Emory College is initiated on a case-by-case basis, and students who are on the waitlist will be contacted via email if a spot opens up for them. It is important for students to ensure that their email addresses are correct and to check their emails regularly. We encourage students to respond promptly if they receive a notification from the Office of Undergraduate Admission. 

Oxford College 

Campus Start 

We are pleased to share that Oxford College will utilize the waitlist to fill remaining spaces in the incoming class. We anticipate enrolling approximately 30 students from the waitlist for an on-campus start.  

Starting this week, we will start notifying selected students via email with offers of admission. Please be sure to monitor email regularly.  

To ensure consideration, students should confirm that their contact information is current and accurate. We will share additional updates about the waitlist process as more information becomes available.  

Oxford Launch: London 

Thank you for your continued interest in our inaugural year of Oxford Launch: London. We’re excited to share that we will be admitting additional students from the waitlist to join this unique academic opportunity. 

We anticipate enrolling up to 10 students from the waitlist for a London start and will begin sending admission offers via email later this week.

We’re thrilled by the enthusiasm surrounding this new program and appreciate your patience throughout the waitlist process. 

General Waitlist Information 

The university will review the waitlist regularly throughout the summer, as needed, so students are advised to remain patient as they wait for updates about their admission status. Waitlist activity typically concludes in June but sometimes extends through July. 

In the event that a student no longer wishes to be considered for enrollment, they may opt to remove themselves from the waitlist in their applicant portal. We encourage students to do so if they are no longer interested in enrolling. For additional information, students may review the Waitlist FAQs found in their applicant portals.
